About

Purpose

Turkish City Guide is a plain, multilingual guide to everyday life and paperwork in Turkish cities, for foreigners who live in or plan to move to Turkey, Arabic and other language speakers, people of Turkish origin abroad, and tourists.

Our principles

Information is checked against official sources, with the source and date shown. What cannot be verified is not published or is marked "could not be verified".

We never make up businesses, people, ratings, counters or phone numbers. Where there is no data, we show an honest empty state.

No ad clutter, and no tracking or advertising cookies.

How it is funded

In the business directory, businesses are listed free for the first 6 months, then need a fixed monthly subscription. Paying members are clearly labelled "Featured"; there is no hidden ranking.

Not covered

Lawyers, doctors, dentists and private clinics are not listed. Notaries are not part of the paid listing; duty-notary information comes only from the official source.

We are not a government body

This site is not run by, and is not connected to, any official institution. For official procedures, rely on the institution's own announcements.

Site operator

Site operator: Tarık Ataç, Gazi Muhtar Paşa Bulvarı, Doktorlar Sitesi, C Blok, Asma Kat, No 85, Şehitkamil, Gaziantep, tarikatac@gmail.com

Source

Province and district names are compiled from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0) and Wikidata (CC0) data. Neighbourhood data is not offered because it could not be reliably verified. GeoNames, CC BY 4.0, Wikidata, CC0
